Biography
Lukas Schiemer's creative activities are located in the fields of music, theater, but also multimedia and video arts.
His professional musical education began at the Vienna Conservatory (Bachelor of Arts, Jazz Saxophone) and continued at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where he completed a Bachelor's degree in instrumental and vocal pedagogy, popular music saxophone with Wolfgang Puschnig and then the Master's degree of the same name with Klaus Dickbauer.
As creative head in the core team of the cultural association GEHDANKE, L.S. has organized a wide variety of cultural events over many years and cooperated with the University of Music and Performing Arts, the ORF, various cultural centers, schools, youth centers, etc. With the in-house label gehdanke records, he was able to conclude a distribution deal with Hoanzl in 2019.
Since 2024, after extensive travels, small and large concert tours with various band projects or with his solo project ‘The streamer’s guide to the galaxy’, he has been working mainly from his self-built studio in a small village nearby Vienna.
In addition to his artistic activities, he enjoys working with his hands, being in nature and f.e. rock climbing. He is fluent in Vorarlberg dialect, German, English, Spanish, Childish and a little French.
